Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Dennis Santana (lat) is scheduled to undergo an MRI after being a late scratch on Thursday.
Santana was supposed to start on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but was a surprise scratch after experiencing soreness during warmups. The Dodgers can't seem to catch a break with a seemingly endless string of injuries to their pitching staff. Santana could see an extended absence if he's dealing with a strained lat.
Santana made his MLB debut last week, allowing 5 earned runs over 3 2/3 innings with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.
