Cardinals place Alex Reyes on the disabled list with 'significant' lat strain
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Alex Reyes has been placed on the disabled list, and general manager Mike Girsch says he will "miss more than just a couple starts."
Reyes was removed from his season debut after just 4 innings, and this explains why. Girsch called the lat strain "significant," and it sounds like Reyes could be out for a while. It's disappointing news after Reyes finally made his way back following Tommy John surgery.
Reyes pitching 4 scoreless innings with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks on Wednesday.
