Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell is not starting on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Jonathan Lucroy is back in at catcher, so Maxwell returns to the bench tonight.
Maxwell is batting just .167/.196/.250 over 51 plate appearances.
