Orioles place Danny Valencia on paternity leave
According to PressBox's Rich Dubroff, Baltimore Orioles second/third baseman Danny Valencia has been placed on the team's paternity leave list.
Valencia was scratched from Tuesday's lineup as he left the team to be with his pregnant wife. He will remain away from the team and his expected return is unknown at this time. The team has re-called reliever Donnie Hart from Triple-A Norfolk. We could extra starts for Jace Peterson or Pedro Alvarez in his stead.
Our models project Valencia for 11 home runs, 39 RBI and a .263 average the rest of the year.
