Detroit Tigers infielder Pete Kozma is starting versus the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night.
Dixon Machado is getting a breather, so Kozma will fill in at second base and bat ninth versus Angels right-hander Nick Tropeano. He's 6-for-32 (.188) in 12 games this season.
