Orioles to place Mark Trumbo (knee) on the 10-day DL
Baltimore Orioles first baseman/outfielder Mark Trumbo (knee) will be placed on the 10-day DL following Friday's game, per manager Buck Showalter.
Trumbo has arthritis in his right knee and will receive a PRP injection. The veteran slugger will be shut down for 3-to-4 days before resuming baseball activities. He is not expected to be out long. Joey Rickard will see some extra time in the outfield with Trumbo out of action.
Trumbo has batted .309 with 2 homers, 8 RBI, and 10 runs scored in 82 plate appearances this season.
