Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi is not starting Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Benintendi is sitting out against left-hander Blake Snell, so J.D. Martinez will start in left field tonight. Mitch Moreland will enter the lineup at first base and bat cleanup.
Benintendi is batting .277/.367/.463 with 31 runs, 5 home runs, 29 RBIs, and 8 stolen bases.
