Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Josh Bell is not starting against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday afternoon.
Bell has gone 1-for-13 (.077) with 2 strikeouts over the past three games and he will take a rare breather on Thursday as the Pirates close out a three-game set in Cincinnati. David Freese will cover first base and bat third versus Reds right-hander Luis Castillo.
Bell is averaging 9.5 FanDuel points in 48 games this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .260 with 14 homers and 53 RBI over the rest of the year.
