New York Mets infielder Wilmer Flores is not starting on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins.
Adrian Gonzalez is getting the nod at first base tonight, so Flores returns to the bench. Gonzalez is batting sixth against right-hander Dan Straily.
Flores is hitting .237/.318/.412 with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs this season.
