Alex Wood lifted from Dodgers' victory with cramps
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood exited Sunday's start against the Washington Nationals due to cramps, manager Dave Roberts said.
Wood appeared to start cramping up while warming up before the seventh inning but it doesn't sound like it will cost him a turn in the Dodgers' rotation. The 27-year-old left-hander still managed to pick up his first win of the season while allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk across six frames.
Wood is averaging 28.7 FanDuel points across 10 starts (57 innings) this season. numberFire's models project him to throw a 3.48 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 130 strikeouts and 35 walks over the remainder of the year.
