Rays' Matt Duffy (hamstring) targeting Friday return
Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Matt Duffy (hamstring) said he is aiming to return to the lineup on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels.
Duffy was lifted from Tuesday's win over the Kansas City Royals due to discomfort in his right hamstring and it caused some concern as the 27-year-old missed 10 days late in April with a strain to the same hammy. Fortunately, it appears to be a minor issue and Duffy should be back out there by the weekend. He currently leads the Rays with a .322 batting average.
Duffy is averaging 8.8 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .266 with 4 homers, 30 RBI, 37 runs scored, and 7 steals over the rest of the year.
