Minnesota Twins catcher Jason Castro is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
Castro was expected to miss 4-6 weeks, but the damage in his knee was more serious than originally thought, and he required a the full repair of his meniscus. Mitch Garver will presumably be Minnesota's starting catcher moving forward.
Castro finishes the season with a .143/.257/.238 batting line over 74 plate appearances.
