Mariners' Robinson Cano (hand) reportedly suspended 80 games for steroids

Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano (hand) will be suspended 80 games for violating baseball's joint drug agreement, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

What It Means:

This comes out of nowhere and just a day after Cano landed on the disabled list for a fractured fifth metacarpal on his right hand. Gordon Beckham was already called up from Triple-A Tacoma and Dee Gordon may also take on a larger role at second base for the Mariners.

Cano has averaged 10.7 FanDuel points in 39 games this season while slashing .287/.385/.441 with 4 home runs and 23 RBI across 169 plate appearances.
