Padres put Joey Lucchesi (hip) on 10-day disabled list
San Diego Padres starting pitcher Joey Lucchesi has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right hip strain.
The injury doesn't sound too serious, so hopefully Lucchesi only has to miss one start. The Padres recalled second baseman Carlos Asuaje in a corresponding move, which hopefully signals the team doesn't think Lucchesi will be out for long.
Our models project Lucchesi for a 5.16 ERA and 1.43 WHIP, with 69 strikeouts over 85.5 innings remaining this season.
