Robinson Cano placed on Mariners' 10-day disabled list with hand fracture

Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a fractured fifth metacarpal on his right hand.

What It Means:

It's not clear how long Cano will be sidelined or if the injury will require surgery, but more should be known following a scheduled meeting with a hand specialist on Tuesday. Either way, the 35-year-old veteran isn't expected back soon. Gordon Beckham was called up from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding roster move while Dee Gordon is expected to remain in center field for Seattle.

Cano has averaged 10.7 FanDuel points in 39 games this season while slashing .287/.385/.441 with 4 home runs and 23 RBI across 169 plate appearances.
