Braves' Freddie Freeman cranks two homers in doubleheader win
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman homered twice in Saturday night's win over the Miami Marlins, finishing 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored.
Freeman pounded a fastball into the second level in right-center in the first inning, so Marlins' starter Jarlin Garcia tried a slider a few innings later and Freeman sent it to left-center for a solo jack. The two dingers helped the Braves sweep the doubleheader yesterday. Freeman holds a slash line of .331/.431/.593 with eight homers, 28 runs, and 31 RBI through 38 games.
Our models project Freeman to hit .303 with 25 home runs, 78 runs, 74 RBI, and 8 stolen bases in 496 more plate appearances in the 2018 season.
