Houston Astros outfielder George Springer left Friday's game early with an elbow contusion.

What It Means:

Springer was hit by a pitch in the elbow in his second at-bat and left the game. X-rays came back negative with the team considering him day-to-day with the injury. He was replaced in the field and the lineup by Jake Marisnick.
