Cardinals confirm Adam Wainwright (elbow) will start on Sunday
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright (elbow) will return to the rotation and start in the series finale versus the San Diego Padres on Sunday.
Wainwright has been out since April 20 with elbow inflammation but made a successful rehab start earlier this week and is ready to go. The veteran had a 3.45 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings pitched (3 starts) before hitting the DL.
Early projections by our models have Wainwright tossing 6.0 innings while striking out 5.2 batters and allowing 2.0 runs for 32.9 FanDuel points.
