The Kansas City Royals have released pitcher Seth Maness, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.
Operating as a reliever, Maness has struggled to a 4.63 ERA in 11 2/3 innings with the Royals' Triple-A affiliate. Previously, he had operated as a reliever with the Royals and St. Louis Cardinals. Maness is reportedly looking for a team to use him as a starter.
Over 39 career starts in the minor leagues, Maness has posted a 2.89 ERA through 8 professional seasons.
