Nationals' Adam Eaton getting a second opinion on ankle injury
Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton traveled to Wisconsin to get a second opinion on his injured ankle.
Eaton traveled to Wisconsin Wednesday to meet with orthopedic surgeon Robert Anderson. Eaton injured his ankle on an awkward slide in mid-April and the pain has continued to be an issue. Look for another update soon, but until Eaton is healthy enough to return, Howie Kendrick and Brian Goodwin will keep getting more playing time.
Once he is back, our models project Eaton for a .275 batting average to go with 6 home runs, 43 runs scored, 32 RBI, and 6 steals over 282 plate appearances remaining this season.
