New York Mets catcher Devin Mesoraco is starting on Wednesday afternoon versus the Cincinnati Reds.
After being acquired from the Reds just a few hours before the game, Mesoraco swapped clubhouses and made his Mets debut as a pinch-hitter in Tuesday's loss, going 0-for-1 with a strikeout. He's expected to work as the team's primary catcher moving forward and will catch right-hander Zack Wheeler while batting sixth versus Reds righty Sal Romano. Tomas Nido was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas.
numberFire's models project Mesoraco to score 8.8 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,000 on Wednesday.
