Devin Mesoraco dealt from Cincinnati to New York for Matt Harvey
The Cincinnati Reds have traded catcher Devin Mesoraco to the New York Mets in exchange for pitcher Matt Harvey.
The oft-injured Mesoraco will get his shot to take over full-time catching duties in New York with Travis d'Arnaud out with Tommy John Surgery. Mesoraco has played in only 113 games since 2015 due to injuries. He was an All-Star in 2014 after hitting 25 homers with a .273 batting average for the Reds.
Mesoraco has hit .220 with 1 homer in 45 plate appearances so far this season.
