Drew Butera back on bench as Royals open series with Orioles
Kansas City Royals catcher Drew Butera is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Baltimore Orioles.
Salvador Perez will start behind the plate while Butera returns to the bench. He went 0-for-3 with a strikeout on Sunday and he'll continue to see occasional opportunities when Perez needs a breather.
Butera is averaging 5.3 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .228 with 3 homers and 16 RBI in 160 plate appearances over the rest of the year.
