Whit Merrifield working out of six-hole for Royals on Tuesday
Kansas City Royals second baseman Whit Merrifield is starting at designated hitter and batting sixth versus the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
Merrifield played second and led off the order in Sunday's series finale against left-hander Matt Boyd and the Detroit Tigers, but with the Orioles sending righty Dylan Bundy to the hill tonight, he will slide down to sixth as the DH while Jon Jay handles leadoff duties. Ryan Goins is getting the nod at second base for Kansas City.
numberFire's models project Merrifield to score 12.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,800 on Tuesday.
