Adrian Beltre (hamstring) could return Tuesday or Wednesday for Rangers
Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said in an interview on 105.3 The FAN on Monday that he expects third baseman Adrian Beltre (hamstring) to be activated on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Beltre has not played since April 24 and he's missed a total of 12 games as of Tuesday. Once Beltre does come back and is healthy enough to return to third base, Renato Nunez will likely start seeing less playing time for the Rangers. However, Nunez could stick in the lineup for a few more days if the Rangers decide to DH Beltre in his first couple games back.
Our models project Beltre for a .299 batting average with 16 home runs, 54 runs scored, and 60 RBI over 410 plate appearances remaining this season.
