Yu Darvish (illness) placed on the 10-day DL by the Cubs
Chicago Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish (illness) has been placed on the 10-day DL retroactive to May 4.
Darvish has the flu and will miss his start on Tuesday. By starting the DL stint on the 4th, the starter will sit out only one turn and be in line to pitch on schedule next Monday the 14th. No word on who will take his spot on Tuesday night.
Darvish has struggled mightily in his first season with the Cubs, posting a 6.00 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, and 0-3 record in 30 innings pitched (6 starts).
