Aledmys Diaz injures ankle in Blue Jays' victory
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Aledmys Diaz left Sunday's victory over the Tampa Bay Rays early due to an ankle injury.
X-rays revealed that Diaz avoided a fracture but he was seen in a walking boot and on crutches after the game, suggesting that a trip to the disabled list seems likely. The Blue Jays, who are off on Monday, should provide an update this afternoon.
Diaz is averaging 7.8 FanDuel points through 32 games this season while slashing .216/.273/.431 with 6 homers and 13 RBI across 110 plate appearances.
