Jordy Mercer hits his first homer of the season in Pirates' rout of Brewers
Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer went 3-for-4 Sunday with a home run and 2 RBI in a 9-0 beating of the Milwaukee Brewers.
What It Means:
Mercer hasn't swung the bat that well this season, but he was fantastic at the plate on Sunday. It was his second 3-hit game of the season, and after a day of Monday, Mercer will return to action Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox.
