Braves place Dansby Swanson (wrist) on the 10-day DL
Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson (wrist) was placed on the 10-day DL on Friday.
What It Means:
Swanson was prepared to sit out the weekend series versus the San Francisco Giants, but the Braves decided to open up a roster spot and place the shortstop on the DL. Preston Tucker was called up in a corresponding move with Johan Carmago starting at shortstop on Friday.
Swanson has hit .289 with 2 homers and 13 RBI in 122 plate appearances so far this season.
