Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) to be sidelined through All-Star break
According to The Athletic's Pedro Moura, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu will be out until the second half of the season.
Ryu suffered a left groin strain on Wednesday and was placed on the 10-day DL earlier today. He was expected to be out 4-to-6 weeks, but it sounds like his absence will stretch further than that after learning that his muscle tore completely off the bone. 23-year-old Walker Buehler is locked into a rotation spot going forward.
Through 6 starts, Ryu had gotten out to a 3-0 start with a 2.12 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 3.09 nERD.
