Dodgers place Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) on 10-day DL
The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu on the 10-day disabled list with a left groin strain.
Ryu suffered the injury in the second inning of Wednesday's start. He's expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks, which is a big blow to the Dodgers' rotation as well as Ryu's dynamite start to the year. It's likely that Walker Buehler will stick in the team's rotation until further notice.
Over 6 starts and 29.2 innings, Ryu is 3-0 with a 2.12 ERA and a career-high 31.3% strikeout rate. He's projected for a 3-3 record and 4.50 ERA the rest of the year.
