Yankees' Jordan Montgomery (elbow) expected to miss 6-8 weeks
New York Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery (elbow) is expected to be out 6-8 weeks with a flexor strain in his elbow.
Montgomery hit the DL earlier on Wednesday, and manager Aaron Boone said he won't begin throwing again for 2-3 weeks, so he's could be out for up to two months. Domingo German is expected to take his spot in the rotation.
Prior to the injury, Montgomery had posted a 3.62 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 23 strikeouts over 27 1/3 innings this season.
