Steve Pearce (ribs) out again for Blue Jays on Wednesday afternoon
Toronto Blue Jays utility option Steve Pearce (ribs) is out of the lineup again on Wednesday versus the Minnesota Twins.
This is a third straight absence for Pearce, who was a late scratch from Tuesday night's lineup after experiencing tightness in his ribcage during pregame batting practice. Kendrys Morales will play designated hitter again while Curtis Granderson, Teoscar Hernandez, and Kevin Pillar make up the Blue Jays' outfield.
Pearce is averaging 9.6 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models currently project him to hit .263 with 12 homers and 38 RBI over the rest of the year.
