Yankees' Jordan Montgomery pulled early on Tuesday with elbow tightness
New York Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery was pulled after one inning on Tuesday with left elbow tightness.
Anytime an injury contains the words "tightness" and "elbow" Tommy John surgery jumps to mind. Montgomery had made it through the first inning without any problems but did not return to the game and is scheduled to return to New York for further examination. Expect more details on the injury to be announced in the next few days.
Montgomery has tossed 27 1/3 innings this season with a 3.62 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 23 strikeouts.
