Gerrit Cole strikes out 12 as Astros take down Athletics
Houston Astros starting pitcher Gerrit Cole allowed 3 runs on 6 hits with 12 strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings during Sunday's 8-4 victory over the Oakland Athletics.
Cole was pretty stellar once again but didn't earn the win, so he remains at 2-1 through six starts on the year, with a 1.73 ERA and 0.79 WHIP across 41 2/3 innings. He's also punched out 61 batters while walking only 8. The 27-year-old right-hander's next scheduled start is on Friday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Cole scored 51.1 FanDuel points on Sunday and he's averaging 53.4 FanDuel points per game for the season.
