Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell is starting on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers.
Maxwell will catch right-hander Kendall Graveman and bat ninth versus Rangers righty Doug Fister. Jonathan Lucroy will be available off Oakland's bench.
