San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges is starting on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies.
Hedges returns after getting a breather in Monday's series opener. He will catch left-hander Eric Lauer and bat eighth versus Rockies southpaw Kyle Freeland.
