Colorado Rockies outfielder Gerardo Parra dropped the appeal of his four-game suspension and began serving it on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs.
A previous report said Parra was given Sunday off. The 30-year-old outfielder was suspended for his involvement in a brawl with the San Diego Padres earlier in April and will be eligible to return for Friday's series opener against the Miami Marlins. Carlos Gonzalez (hamstring) is also out, so David Dahl and Noel Cuevas have been called up from Triple-A Albuquerque in corresponding moves.
Parra is averaging 6.5 FanDuel points per game this season.
