Chicago Cubs third baseman David Bote is making his MLB debut on Saturday night.
Bote was called as the club placed Ben Zobrist on the DL. The 25-year-old will start at third and bat ninth for the Cubs as Kris Bryant shifts to right field and Jason Heyward gets the night off.
Bote was hitting .234 with 3 homers in 49 plate appearances for Triple-A Iowa before being called up.
