Toronto's Steve Pearce out of the lineup on Friday
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder/first baseman Steve Pearce is not starting on Friday against the New York Yankees.
What It Means:
As per usual, Curtis Granderson is getting the start with a righty on the mound, so Pearce returns to the bench.
Pearce has performed well as part of a platoon, hitting .302/.348/.581 with 11 runs, 3 home runs, and 9 RBIs over 46 plate appearances.
