Chicago White Sox corner infielder Matt Davidson is not starting on Friday against the Houston Astros.
Davidson is taking a seat against right-hander Justin Verlander on Friday. Jose Abreu will start at first base, while Welington Castillo will serve as the DH.
Davidson is slashing .216/.365/.529 with 5 home runs and 11 RBIs this season.
