Mariners' Ryon Healy (ankle) beginning rehab assignment at Double-A Arkansas

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ryon Healy is joining up with Double-A Arkansas to begin a short minor league rehab assignment.

What It Means:

According to MLB.com's Greg Johns, Healy said his ankle is "feels great now" but that he could use the at-bats to get his timing down. He's missed the last two weeks with a Grade 2 sprain, and he should be able to return to the team as early as next week. When he's back, Dan Vogelbach and Taylor Motter will see fewer starts at first.

Over the remainder of the year, our models have Healy down for 18 homers, 58 RBI and a .261 average.
