Orioles' Zach Britton (heel) scheduled to throw off half-mound Friday
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Zach Britton is scheduled to throw off a half-mound on Friday, reports Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun.
Britton suffered a ruptured Achilles in an offseason workout in January. People around the organization think that the 30-year-old could be back around 'early June.' Currently, Brad Brach is serving as the Orioles' closer.
Upon his return, our models project Britton for a 1-2 record, 3.36 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 32 1/3 innings.
