Reds fire manager Bryan Price after 3-15 start

The Cincinnati Reds have announced that they have fired manager Bryan Price following four-plus seasons with the team.

What It Means:

Price is taking the ball for the club's 3-15 start to the season. Pitching coach Mack Jenkins was also canned, with bench coach Jim Riggleman being promoted to interim manager and Louisville manager Pat Kelly moving to bench coach. They've also made Pensacola pitching coach Danny Darwin a part of the big league staff.

Through 18 games, the Reds are 9 games back of the division-leading Pittsburgh Pirates as well as 5.5 games back of the fourth place Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. They rank 29th in our current MLB power rankings.
