Red Sox's Joe Kelly suspended 6 games for fighting
Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Joe Kelly has been suspended 6 games for fighting.
Kelly started Wednesday's fight with the New York Yankees by intentionally hitting Tyler Austin with a pitch. Kelly has only pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief this year, so Boston should have no trouble replacing him while he's suspended.
Kelly's ERA stands at 7.71, but he has four-straight scoreless outings since a disastrous Opening Day relief appearance. He had a 2.79 ERA in 54 appearances for Boston in 2017.
