Mets' Travis d'Arnaud tears UCL, placed on 10-day disabled list
New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud has been diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow and was placed on the 10-day disabled list.
Injuries are nothing new for d'Arnaud, who may wind up needing Tommy John surgery. Tomas Nido has been called up from Double-A Binghamton to help with backup backstop duties behind Kevin Plawecki.
