Mets' Kevin Plawecki out of lineup Saturday
New York Mets catcher Kevin Plawecki will be on the bench Saturday against the Washington Nationals.
What It Means:
Travis d'Arnaud is starting at catcher today, which places Plawecki on the bench as the Mets do work against Gio Gonzalez and company.
In his backup role, we project Plawecki to hit 2 home runs for 13 RBI and a .227 average the rest of the way this season.
