The Los Angeles Angels have recalled pitcher Parker Bridwell from Triple-A and will have him start on Friday night.
Bridwell is replacing Matt Shoemaker, who was placed on the DL with a forearm strain. The 26-year-old made 20 starts for the Angels last season, posting a 10-3 record with a 3.64 ERA in 121 innings.
Our models project Bridwell for a 4.53 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 74 2/3 innings pitched the rest of the season.
