Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki undergoes surgery for bone spurs
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki underwent surgery for bone spurs in both of his heels on Tuesday.
Tulowitzki was placed on the 60-day disabled list before the season and is expected to be out until at least the summer. Aledmys Diaz and Gift Ngoepe have been splitting time at shortstop for the Blue Jays.
Prior to this announcement, numberFire's models projected Tulowitzki to bat .255 with 15 home runs, 56 RBI, and 46 RBI in 431 plate appearances this season.
