Mets' Noah Syndegaard strikes out 10 in Opening Day win

New York Mets starter Noah Syndegaard struck out 10 batters in Thursday's 9-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

What It Means:

In making his second straight Opening Day start, the 25-year-old went six innings, allowing six hits and four earned runs en route to the win. Most of the damage came on a pair of home runs, and Syndegaard made it out without a single walk.

At $10,300 on the early slate, Syndegaard finished the day with 42 FanDuel points in his first start of the year. His next chance to take the hill will come Wednesday as the Mets host the Philadelphia Phillies.
